EyelinerĀ Post-Care Instructions
Immediately After Procedure:
- You will receive a postcare bag with necessary items.
Day 1-7:
- Pat your lash line dry with a clean cotton round or gauze every hour (or when lymph fluid appears) until bedtime.
- Use visors in the shower to keep eyes dry. Avoid water on the lash line until the dry skin peels off. Use makeup wipes instead of washing your face.
- Do not rub, pick, or scratch the area. Let scabs fall off naturally.
- Apply an ice pack with a paper towel for swelling in the first 24 hours.
- Avoid makeup, mascara, makeup remover, face cleansers, and washcloths on or near the tattooed area.
- Avoid contact lenses for 72 hours; use glasses if possible.
- Protect your eyes with sunglasses and hats outdoors.
- Avoid sweating, salt water, chlorine, swimming, hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms for 7 days.
- Avoid hot, steamy showers and keep your face out of the water using the provided face shields.
- No facials, Botox, harsh cleansers, exfoliants, sun exposure, or tanning for 4 weeks.
- Avoid sleeping on your face and use a clean pillowcase. Elevate your head to reduce swelling. Try blinking actively in the morning to help reduce puffiness.
Healing Phases:
- Day 1-2: Lash line enhancement may appear 2-3 times darker, thicker, and uneven due to swelling. Swelling, redness, and slight stinging are normal.
- Day 3-7: The area may appear dark and scabby. Under the scabs, the color might look light or missing, which is normal. Do not pick at the scabs.
- Day 7: The enhancement may look patchy and lighter. True color will develop between weeks 3-6. You can resume normal activities but continue to care for the area gently.
- Day 7-Week 6: Color will start to reappear and darken. Healing time varies by skin type and age, from 4 weeks for younger skin to 6-8 weeks for more mature skin. It’s normal for color to fade 30-50% after scabs fall off. A touch-up at 6-8 weeks is recommended for perfecting the shade and shape.
